Conventions and Conferences

The Christchurch Town Hall for Performing Arts is linked by air bridge link to  the Christchurch Convention Centre. It adds into the mix a world-class 2,500 seat auditorium, a 1,000 seat theatre, both ideal for plenary sessions. It also features several additional conference rooms. more

Gala Dinners

The Auditorium is a large oval-shaped theatre which is a popular venue for themed gala dinners for groups up to 350. It features a Rieger Pipe Organ, which  provides a dramatic backdrop for  themed events.

The Christchurch Town Hall for Performing Arts has award winning cuisine with stylish and attentive service. We can design a menu for your event and any specific delegate requirements using the finest local ingredients to create perfect flavours. Our food is complemented by a large selection of New Zealand and international wines. more

Concerts and Gala Performances

The Auditorium is a large oval-shaped theatre with a comfortable and configurable tiered seating system allowing various room plan arrangements and designs. It can accommodate over 2,500 people for a live concert event. The stage area can accommodate an orchestra of up to 130 musicians. The two-metre raised choir seating behind the stage can comfortably seat a 254 voice choir. more

Trade Shows & Exhibitions

If you have a small scale trade show or are setting up in the Christchurch Convention Centre and need more space, the Christchurch Town Hall for Performing Arts is ideal. Especially so, if you have any theatrical components to your event such as a themed product launch. more

Business meetings

There are a number of conference rooms including the themed Samoan room, which are perfect for smaller business meetings. We also have the Limes Room, which is a multi-purpose function room that can hold over 250 people classroom style. more

Weddings

Your guests would never forget a wedding reception (or even ceremony) backed by a genuine Reiger Pipe Organ. We can provide the complete package for your wedding reception and with multiple function rooms in the same venue we can guarantee you flexibility and variation. more
